Our Sterling Silver is 92.5 percent silver and 7.5 percent copper. Copper is silver's best companion since it improves the hardness and durability of silver, and allows the silver to retain its beautiful color.

Care

With proper care, your fine quality silver will last a lifetime. To minimize scratches and other damage, store your silver jewelry in a cloth pouch or in a separate compartment in a jewelry box. Avoid exposing silver to household chemicals when cleaning with bleach or ammonia, or when swimming in chlorinated water, as these chemicals can damage silver. Regular cleaning of your silver items will prevent tarnish and keep your silver bright and sparkling. Tarnish is most easily removed when it first becomes visible with a silver polishing cloth. If there is a lot of tarnish build-up use polishes formulated specifically to remove tarnish. Wearing your silver often is the best way to prevent tarnish from building up.

Given all this and the rising price of silver, this is quite simply a good investment all around.
