Button Clasp have no hinge mechanism. Instead, they have a large head, a straight post, and a smaller, interior head or backing. The smaller head is tilted, worked through the button hole, and then straightened out to lock it in place. Once in place, they are quite secure, and the lack of moving parts makes them very durable.

Argentium silver is roughly the same composition as sterling silver, composed of 92.5% pure silver; instead of sterling’s 7.5% copper content, germanium is smelted into the copper. Argentium sterling’s germanium is bright, shiny, and stronger. Tarnish resistant and hypoallergenic; it’s actually whiter and brighter than platinum and white gold, and maintains its shine with minimal care.
