The undulating design in Damascus steel resembles flowing water. Damascus steel is made from a blend of welded steel and iron creating a material prized for its unusual patterns. Known as pattern-welded steel, the techniques create a hard and flexible metal. Warriors from the Vikings to the Samurai have long esteemed swords and knives made from Damascus steel; it is known for durability, zero maintenance and quality. Our patterns are not stamped or printed on the surface as the Damascus is one solid piece with the pattern going through the whole material. This is hypoallergenic and much harder than conventional jewelry metals.
The high-quality stainless steel used to craft the sleeve is known as 316L; the higher the grade-number, the purer the steel, this is the highest grade given. Surgical steel is the same grade surgeons’ use and is gentle on sensitive skin. A highly robust metal that retains its shape, doesn’t tarnish and is virtually impervious to wear and tear.
Comfort-Fit bands have a rounded interior, allowing them to glide over knuckles easier; they don’t pinch and sit on the finger more comfortably than other rings. It may feel slightly larger as comfort-fit rings are thicker inside-center.
Choosing the right size for your custom rings is as important as the style. Titanium cannot be re-sized due to its hardness. Part of the customization process for you is a purr-fect fit. After ordering, sizer rings are crafted in the same size and width as ordered; ships approx. 3 to 8 business days. Upon size verification production of your handmade ring begins.
