14k Yellow Gold St. Cecilia Hollow Medal Pendant (19X19MM)

St. Cecilia is the patroness of musicians, poets and church music because she supposedly sang in her heart to the Lord while musicians played at her wedding. According to a legend, she told her bridegroom that an angel watched over her to protect her virginity. When he asked to see the angel, Cecilia told him he had to first be baptized. Upon his return, he saw the angel with flaming wings, holding two crowns of roses and lilies, which he placed on their heads, and then vanished. Shortly after, the husband’s brother entered, and wondered at the fragrance and beauty of the flowers at that season of the year. When he heard about the angel, he also consented to be baptized. The two brothers subsequently devoted themselves to burying the martyrs slain daily. They, as well as Cecilia, were executed. Her Feast Day is November 22.
