Sterling Silver St. Theresa Medal (25X20MM)
The Men's Jewelry Store (Unisex Jewelry)

St. Theresa was born in Rue Saint-Blaise, Alençon, in France on January 2, 1873. After previous rejections because of her youth, she entered the Carmelite order of Lisieux in April of 1888. At fourteen, Thérèse had understood her vocation to pray for priests, to be "an apostle to apostles." She knew as a Carmelite nun she would never be able to perform great deeds. She wrote: "Love proves itself by deeds, so how am I to show my love? Great deeds are forbidden me. The only way I can prove my love is by scattering flowers and these flowers are every little sacrifice, every glance and word, and the doing of the least actions for love." Thus she became known as the ‘Little Flower.’ St. Thérèse is known today because of her spiritual memoir, “L'histoire d'une âme” (The Story of a Soul). Due to tuberculosis, Thérèse's final years were marked by a steady decline that she bore resolutely and without complaint. She died on September 30, 1897 at the young age of 24. Her Feast Day is October 1.
