“Confessor” is the name for someone believed to have lived a pious life but who was not a martyr. Edward was one of the last Anglo-Saxon kings of England, ruling from 1042 to 1066. At the age of ten, he was exiled to Normandy when the Danes invaded England. Years later upon the loss of power by the Danes, Edward, about 40, was called back to England to claim the throne. His reign was peaceful; he instigated no wars and settled internal difficulties without bloodshed. Edward's one aim was the welfare of his people and he abolished the hated Danegeld, a tax levied to pay tribute to the Viking raiders. Edward built St. Peter's Abbey at Westminster, the site of the present Abbey, and is buried there. His Feast Day is October 13.
It's fitting this is crafted of gold; it's said spiritual energy and power are activated and awakened by wearing or praying with gold. Gold represents the spiritual treasure gained by transforming the spirit; it also represents love in the Bible. This is earth friendly as it is made with the Refined Karats system certified by Scientific Certification Systems' (SCS) strict requirements. Proudly made in America with a green process of ethically, environmentally and socially responsible production processes of water, waste and energy management; this is from 100 percent recycled Karats.
The rising price of silver makes this a great investment.
