14k Yellow Gold St. Brigid Hollow Medal Pendant (19X19MM)

Bridget is one of Ireland's patron saints along with Patrick and Columba. Her name is also variously spelled as Brigid, Bridget, Bridgit, Bríd, and Bride and she is sometimes known as Mary of the Gael. Born into slavery, she chose a religious life in childhood after hearing St. Patrick preach. Several miracles were attributed to her which originated from her generosity to the poor. She became a nun, then an abbess, and founder of several monasteries and an art school. Her color, white, was worn by the Kildare United Irishmen during the 1798 rebellion and is worn by Kildare sports teams. Her Feast Day is February 1.
